- 1 cup dried mushrooms
- 1 cup dry milk powder
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon grated dried lemon rind
- 1/2 teaspoon dried onions
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 1/2 quarts boiling water
- Combine all the ingredients with boiling water.
- Cook with constant stirring for 15 minutes, or until thickened and smooth.
- Reduce heat to low, cover and let simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.
